At Taos Designs in Taos, New Mexico, our mission is to design

At Taos Designs, we work closely with you to provide the layout

For your convenience, we also offer a complete web development
package, including web design, hosting, domain registration,
photography, graphics, custom logo design, Quicktime VR,
and HTML & search engine optimization.

Digital photography is our specialty! And we offer state-of-the-art
Quicktime VR! At Taos Designs, we make you look good,
whether its digital video, Quicktime movies, or web-mercials.

If you require ad copy, biographies or resume content, we have
established relationships with the best ad and resume writers in
New Mexico.

Do you have an existing web site that is not generating the results
you need? No problem. We can also work with your existing site,
graphics and content.

Web Site Hosting

$99 for one full year, domain name included.

Hosting includes;
1000 MB of disk space.
E-mail Alias'
E-mail forwarding.
No data transfer fees.

Plenty of room to back up personal files and data in
addition to your web site.

Some Hosting services will charge you $25-$50 per month.
Others offer free web sites with their banner or pop up ads
all over your site. At Taos Designs we keep it simple.
It's your domain ...your web site... that's it.

Domain Registration

Domain Name Registration included in the Web Hosting fee of $99 per year.

Register a Domain Name only, we offer that service for $15 per year.

Already have a domain name?

We can arrange for all the DNS changes. Each case is unique
and the amount of time needed to get things in order will vary.
The first 15 minutes of domain name services is free; any
additional time required will be charged at the usual $45 hourly rate.

What is a Domain Name?
 
A domain name is a unique name that identifies a place on the
Internet. An example of a domain name is mybusiness.com.
Domain names can be used as part of a web site address,
such as www.YourBusiness.com, or they can form part of
an email address, such as info@YourBusiness.com.
Domain names allow you to use descriptive words so it's easy
for people to remember your web site or your email address.

Searching for a Domain Name!

In order to register a domain name no one else can have that
exact name already registered. You must search for a domain
name first to find out if it is registered. If it's already registered
to someone else, you cannot register it for yourself.

At Taos Designs....

....we'll take care of the entire registration process! We'll search
the WhoIs database and contact you with the options that are
available to you for you to choose. Cost of this service is included
in the Web Hosting package or the Domain Name only service.

If you are not familiar with the Domain Name Registration
process it can take time and costly mistakes can add up
resulting in time consuming corrections. We have encountered
this a number of times. And time is money! At Taos Designs we
are very familiar with the Domain Name process and we can
make it very easy for you.

Web Site Design

Web Site Design

We specialize in the planning & development of affordable,
information-based web sites for artists, galleries, small businesses
and individuals. We develop "graphics and words that sell" in order
to effectively market your products & services on the Web.
Our fee for web design is $125 per hour. An initial half-hour
consultation is free. Ideally, clients supply us with a pencil-sketched
story board, along with the text, photos and logo on a disk, however,
we can also handle everything from scratch at an hourly rate of $125.
For comparison the average cost of a medium sized website is
$1500 to $2000. Larger sites (with increased navigation, photo, product galleries, or shopping carts) costing $3000 and up

Basic Web Site Special

A basic web site package starts at $750. This includes 5/10 pages*
and up to 10 graphics/images
(*page refers to what fits on a piece of paper)


Home Page

We can 'expedite' a one page web site on your site with your logo,
5 images contact info and an e-mail link so you can be available
immediately to potential clients. We'll also include some short
biographical information you need your clients to see.
We offer this service for $250.

Services are billed at $125 per hour unless stated otherwise.

Photography for the Web

At Taos Designs we can come to your location or place of
business, take great photos of your products, artwork, building ,etc.

Resample the images in Photoshop;

Optimize them for the web to ensure fast downloads and
put them up on your site ready to present to your clientele.

If you need a piece of work or location photographed and
on your site. We will come out, photograph the pieces and
give them to you on a CD usually within 24 hours.

We can put your images into a presentation package on a
CD, as a slide show to send out to clients.

Back up all your images on a data CD.

At Taos Designs we work with you to determine your needs.
We offer creative solutions for imaging content on the web.

Photographic services are billed at $450 1/2 day (half day minimum).

Virtual Tours and Panoramas

View Panoramas and Sample Virtual Tours

At Taos Designs we offer Quicktime VR, virtual reality
tours, immersive and interactive panoramas for your
web site. Checkout some of our sample tours and let
your imagination run wild.

Quicktime VR is great for promoting galleries, artists,
bed and breakfasts, inns, hotels and real estate.
Artists...Show your potential clients your studio space!

Galleries and Museums Let the people searching the
web for art see how well the work is presented in your gallery!

We also make Quicktime Object movies that enable the user
to rotate, for example, a piece of sculpture, and view it from
all sides.

Hotels, Bed and Breakfasts and Inns... show the traveler a room
and give the feeling that they are already home for the night!


Realtors... see how great a parcel of land can look
presented in a panorama!

The price for this service is $450. For this we come out to
your location and set the scene, take as many panoramas
as we need to determine the best 2, stitch them together
and post them on your web site.

This service is available to clients whose web sites we
haven't built. We'll take the shots and stitch them all
together and put them on a CD for you to supply your
web maintenance service, same price, $450 for 2 panoramas.

Search Engines

At Taos Designs we can help you choose the right words and
phrases (keywords, meta tags etc) for your web site to be
'found' by the 'search engines'. There are a lot of thoughts on
this subject.When we design your site we'll work closely with
you to work out a strategy best suited to your individual needs.
We will submit your site to the top search engines for you.


This first time submission is free. For any updates we
charge $45 per hour.

For the sites we do not build we offer this optimization
service for $75 per hour.
